Touring Denali National Park
The best way to see the magnificent Mt. McKinley is to board our motorcoach. Your experienced driver and guide will provide a narrative and entertaining tour on this lengthy drive. You'll travel north along the Parks Highway with possible stops at Talkeetna and Hurricane Gulch.
Moments after you cross over Alaska’s highest bridge, spanning Hurricane Gulch, you’ll encounter the most famous view of Alaska - Mt. McKinley.
Mt. McKinley rests in the heart of Denali National Park. Open year-round to visitors, the interior of the park can only be accessed by registered campers beyond the Savage River check station. But shuttle tours still allow you a means to view the wildlife of the park up close.
Denali Park is home to some of the most lush scenery in Alaska. On the tundra you will find grizzly bears, caribou, wolves, and moose. The rocky reaches hold Dall sheep, pikas, and marmots. And thousands of birds, including Ptarmagin and eagles, make their homes in the park.
There are many means by which to enjoy the park. Shuttle bus, float plane, and helicopter tours abound. These services are not offered by Alaska Toby Motorcoach, but we will be happy to refer you to those who do provide them.
And if you are feeling adventurous, try a river rafting ride. Or maybe some kayaking. The Alaskan interior is full of exciting activities.
